The contemporary history of Europe and the Americas, beginning with the French Revolution in 1789, marks a decisive turning point in the political, social, and economic transformation of the modern world. This period witnessed the collapse of absolute monarchies, the rise of democratic ideals, and the spread of revolutionary principles such as liberty, equality, and national sovereignty.
