HSS is a DISCOVERY COURSE. it focuses on the disciplines that study human behaviour and interaction in the social, econominc, cultural and political environments. It uses scientific methods to provided scientific descriptions for the patterns that govern human interactions.

2. What are the Course objectives?

The course aims primarily at:

• • • Enabling the learners to recognise the different disciplines that can be related to their study of English.
    • Offering the learners the opportunity to recognise the field-specific terminology.
    • Developing learners' way of thinking about how the social groups are viewed from a scientific persepctive.
